Gaming Metrics

There are a variety of sites you can use to track your progress through your gaming backlog.

The Backloggery lets users log their game playing and collections, socialize, and compare their stats with other users. It’s my primary site for trying to work through the ever expanding collection of games.

How Long To Beat has a user generated database of how much time it takes to beat, complete, 100% or speedrun just about any game that’s ever been published.

RF Generation lets users build a personal database of their game collection and show it off to other users on the site.

PSN Profiles lets players show off their PSN Trophy collection by syncing their PSN account with PSN Profiles. Good if you’re into trophy hunting and boosting.

Retro Achievements is a site that lets users download ROMs of retro video games that have achievements patched in. Not what I thought it was going to be when I fist discovered it, but it’s cool that it exists.

True Trophies and its sister site True Achievements lets users sync their accounts from PSN and Xbox Live respectively to find out what their “true score” is on both platforms, adding another layer to the near endless collect-a-thon. Also good for hunters on both platforms for their digital addictions.

Backloggd is another site I’ve recently discovered that works just like The Backloggery though I’m not a huge fan of its layout or design.

Physical Games

For fellow lovers of physical copies of games, here’s some sites to help feed your addiction.

Limited Run Games is the big kahuna of preserving digital games in a physical form.

iam8bit not only sells physical games but LOTS of other physical goodies related to gaming. I personally blame them for sparking my addiction to vinyl records.

Special Reserve Games also sells physical copies of digital games like Limited Run. Often, the two work together to take your money.

Fangamer is another retailer like iam8bit, selling a plethora of physical games and merchandise. Huge fan of their pins.

Super Rare Games is, I believe, a UK based company that specializes in salvaging Nintendo Switch digital games from the abyss.

Mega Cat Studios is a Pittsburgh, PA based company that specializes in home brewed physical retro games that are created in house.

Gaming Relics sells some AMAZING hard cases specially made for storing retro game cartridges complete with beautiful reproductions of the original box art.

Retro Game Cases also specializes in hard cases for game cartridges with reproduced box art.

Custom Game Case sells reproductions for mostly PlayStation games to help make your collection look like new again.

Gaming Merch

Various online stores where you can get your gaming merch on.

Rose Colored Gaming is a store that sells very nice display stands and veneers for your games and consoles.

Flamingtoast sells some very cool decals and and skins. I definitely love their Light Bar Decals for PS4 controllers.

HIDEit Mounts for those that want to put their consoles on the wall either out of sight or on display for all to say.

Stone Age Gamer lets you bring your retro consoles into the digital age.

RetroUSB sells homebrew game carts for retro consoles.
