2022 In Gaming

Here’s a few records of things I did gaming wise in 2022:

It’s funny to me that Destiny 2 still took the top slot considering I didn’t start playing it again until Season of Plunder began back in September. Dragon Quest Builders 1 & 2 were both so much fun that I had to force myself to stop playing them and move on to the next game.

Pretty jazzed that I managed to score two Platinum trophies this year.

That’s a wrap on PlayStation. Next up, Nintendo:

Really wish Metroid Dread wasn’t in that mix because I didn’t like it.

Not really sure what that 3+ Years of Play section is about. Does it mean I’ve been using those for 3 or more years?

I revisited Hollow Knight on Switch after reaching the end of the game on PS4. Trying to play that game with JoyCons is frustrating.

The next section of the year in review was a list of what they deemed my “favorite” game for each month that I played something on Switch. A few highights:

  • February: Hollow Knight

  • April: Metroid Dread

  • July: Kirby and the Forgotten Land

  • July: Yoshi’s Crafted World (I finally finished this and was so bored)

  • August: Asdivine Hearts (I’m still on hold at what I hope is the end of the game)

  • November: Dorfromantik (so relaxing)

Kind of disappointed there was no mention of the acquisition of the Switch OLED in there anywhere nor a mention of the replay of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that I started last week. Trying to get a refresher in before Tears of the Kingdom drops next year.

Sidebar: my Mii looks kinda dumb, haha. That’s it for Nintendo, last up is Twitch:

Not gonna lie, those numbers are pretty abysmal and demotivating, but I will endure.

I’m pretty proud of that Halo: Infinite stat. I need to revisit that game in the future.

And that’s it for gaming in 2022. I’m ready for the onslaught opening salvo of games in 2023.
